Donkey Therapy


Donkey therapy, or equine-assisted therapy with donkeys, is a form of animal-assisted therapy where individuals engage in structured activities with donkeys to address various physical and mental health challenges. This includes grooming, leading, and bonding activities. The calm and non-judgmental nature of donkeys creates a  supportive  environment that promotes emotional well-being, builds trust, and enhances social skills. The therapy is particularly effective for managing stress, anxiety, and trauma, providing a unique avenue for personal growth through the healing power of the human-animal bond. Our little herd provides joy and laughter. Those silly donks are good for the soul. My neighbors often stop by with carrots or apples for a quick visit with our long-eared friends. The stress relief they provide is priceless. We currently have 4 donkeys - Johnny, June, Cash, and Taco.
